It seems to color red due to high amounts of light and cold water; at least that is what i've seen on Facebook.
 
If these are fake then damn as I was liking the look of it hahaha , a red carpet plant .... They should cross breed some species and get it done ;)

I'm just kidding :p It's a nice plant, but I think a whole carpet would be too much. Looks great complimenting greener stuff though.

If it's just the red carpet you're after..........you can go for the algae "Caloglossa beckarii" (may be wrong spelling, but close:rolleyes:)
