propogating riccia

Hi all
got some riccia online, the portion the guy sent was huge so after attaching it to the slate i had a small amount left
iv,e put it in a container on the windowsill will it grow there in cold water like moss or does it need to be in the tank

It'll probably grow, just a lot slower than if it was in your tank.

Yeah, it'll grow, riccia grows anywhere ime, you'll be finding it in years to come all over the house!
