The 7th image, when it is planted the leaves are very fine and spindly, they look a bit like feathers in the water - very pretty, but absolutely no idea what they are!

The pictures aren't great, but if it helps I can get some of them planted and in water later on.

1/ likely Mayaca fluviatilis
2/ can't say
3/ Hydrocotyle sp.
4/ Egeria najas
5/ Bacopa - likely carolineana
6/ Ludwigia repens - maybe some variety of this.
7/ Myriophyllum tuberculatum or Cabomba piauhyensis
8/ Hygrophila difformis
9/ Rotala rotundifolia

Awesome, thank you so much 🙂 I think #2 is a variety of baby tears... That all gives me something to work with anyway, cheers!

Sorry - 2/ is defenitely not a Hemianthus (Baby Tears)......
I have seen this plant years ago, but really can't remember the name. It's a stem-plant, though, and should be treated as such. Grow quite fast !!

We have a winner, that's definitely it! I am going to have to replant it a bit better I think, will see how it's looking when I get home.

I can't tell if that is a "safe" ID..........it was defenitely not the name of the plamt I had in for testing long ago. Looks extreemely similar in that other thread. Even trade names are not correct, sometimes, unfortunately.
- and then again; two different species can look totally alike :arghh: that's why "safe" ID's have to be done by botanists and preferably on flowers.
For most of us names aren't THAT ultimate, for the use in hobby, though.........IF it's the same plant, it will be quite easy to grow, but continue to apear a bit skinny and need constant trimming.

You're right, but I'll take it - having checked google the other images look the same - I just wanted an idea of how it was going to grow so I knew how to plant it. I have gone with interspersing it between dwarf hair grass, so hopefully once the carpet grows out it'll have taller strands of this coming out of it. We'll see how it goes.

That'll likely work - it's not a very shading plant. Like I said; a bit skinny.....
