Pond plant ID help

Hi All,
Wasn't quite sure whether to put this here or in the pond section so apologies if I've got it wrong.
Not a great pic but I've noticed this in my pond,it's quite "brittle" and reminds me a little of Najas sp Roraima but I just wondered if anyone knows what it is 🙂

After some digging I think it might be a Nitella sp so it's an algae but if anyone can confirm that would be great 🙂

Definitely a Charophyte.
