hi
i am going on holiday for 1week will plants be ok without lights on as i dont have a timer switch.
thanks trevor[/b]

Most of them should survive ok, especially if the room is fairly light, but be prepared for a bit of a mess when you get back.

Why don't you just go out and buy some cheap timers before you go? Every DIY store sells them.

*Danger Will Robinson* - It depends on the setup. High Tech/High Light Tank? it would be better to shut down CO2 and light, otherwise nutrient deficiency courts disaster. Plants will take a hit but will recover once everything resumes. Low tech tank; no problems with light/timer.

Cheers,
