Yes it is, there are many species so very hard to tell. Here are all Dutch Eleocharis species, I think they won't differ much from the ones in the UK: SoortenBank.nl : Zoeken
Hi all,
It could be Eleocharis multicaulis, but I think it is an Isolepis species, and probably I. setacea. They are closely related to Eleocharis, but each flower-head has a bract extending above it in Isolepis, but not in Eleocharis.
