pearling already?

my ludwigia repens "ruben" has been in the tank all of 5 hours and already there are bubbles coming from some of the leaves . could it really be pearling so soon , or is there another explenation ?

It's more likely to pearl if its been out of the water as it's picked up and stored some CO2 from the atmosphere where concentration is much higher... So expected rather than a surprise...

You'll also notice your plants will pearl more when you do water changes as you mix more co2 with the water as its changed 🙂

there's a thread on this whole thing somewhere - is also that tap water has CO2 at high pressure concentration
