I read alot of the guys on here recommending osmocote ,I guess I bought the wrong type as it states H412 Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects?

I was going to use it to make green water but don't think I will now,I don't want to harm my aquatic life ?

Yes and no, it all depends on amounts <"Osmocote plus disaster">.

I was going to use it to make green water

Perfect for that.

That would be the main worry for livestock, "controlled release" becoming "uncontrolled release" - <"I made a substrate from hell, i want to change it">.

For "green water culture" <"Growing Algae in a Jar – Microbehunter Microscopy">, the ammonia becomes an asset, not a problem. If you want a cheaper fertiliser specifically for green algae production then <"Miracle Gro"> would be ideal.

Thanks mate looks like I bought the right product then as green water loves an ammonia spike 😄
I will try the miracle grow next time ✔️
