I was searching the net on how to HC and come across a thread by plantbrain (http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum/sh ... light=Barr) on growing plants emersed. Like plant as usual but the water is just enough to moisten the soil. And after a few weeks when everything has settled down, put in the water.

It seems a good idea because some of these aquatic plants are cultured/grow in the wild terrestrially.

On the thread, some plants where mentioned like HC. But tall plants like vals are unsuitable for this method?

Any thoughts of this?

Thank you very much

when i did this i had 3 inches of soil 3 inches of water in the bottom, planted like normal coved fishtank with cling film and once or twice a week i would mist them and i also made sure there was plenty of light 4 39 watt t5's 18 hours a day for one month carpet done bar the odd hole
