Good afternoon all.
Not new to fish keeping but fairly newish to the world of plant care.
Allow me to elaborate on my reasons for joining this forum:
Having got back into fishkeeping after a 15 year hiatus and falling down the rabbit hole of Youtube in my ever quest for knowledge on what has changed in the hobby new tech etc. I stumbled across many channels that were dedicated to aqua scaping which fascinated me.
Good understanding of water chemistry and the Nitrogen cycle in fish tanks, I now have a 130litre tank heavily planted with premium substrate in the appropriate spots for growing plants the rest is sand capped, lava rock and bogwood and dozing with Tropica fertilizers (When I remember to)
Recently decided to experiment with co2 and bought the easy to use Tropica kit, I know its not suitable for my tank size but was an experiment to see if I found any benefits which I started to see but I also believe its now responsible for the levels of BBA I currently have which was never as bad before introducing Co2, albeit in small doses of co2 but I think the key factor and the downside to these kind of co2 kits is the fact the co2 is not controllable or stable with the levels fluctuating, that's my thoughts anyway and my introduction, I look forward to reading through this forum and various articles to help in my understanding of co2 injection technology and plant care.
Not here to ask a gazillion questions before doing my own research on the subject, if I'm genuinely stuck on a subject or find myself lacking in the understanding I will reach out to I'm sure a whole bunch of helpful enthusiasts.😉
