New gardening forum?

The moderating team were having a garden related discussion yesterday, and it was suggested that a new gardening forum might be a good idea.

There have been more than few garden related threads through the years and that’s not mentioning the ever popular “Get your garden out”. It could be a convenient place to collate them all, and create future gardening related threads etc. For instance, on subjects like bonsai, garden restoration projects, plant ID, pests and problems,

I know we have many knowledgable and enthusiastic gardeners among the membership and it’d be good to share both on here. After all, there’s clearly a love all things planted on UKAPS, aquatic and terrestrial alike. And there is a lot of cross over in terms of knowledge and skill set.

Anyway, it’d be good to get some opinions from the rest of you, as to whether you think it’d be a good idea, or popular enough to deserve it’s own forum, or maybe straying a bit too far from the forums original purpose and aims 🙂

I think it's an good idea, I've seen plenty question about gardening around the forum maybe more of terrestrial forum with gardening related as a sub. There are also terrarium and houseplant keepers around.

That would be great I might soon have a front and back garden which we're planning to transform, would love to have a place to post about it here.

Definitely a good idea and I think you’re right, there’s definitely a love of all things planted on UKAPS.
Having variety keeps the conversation interesting.
