Today when I came back home I found that my tank had half water. My mom told me that it started leaking from the lily pipes and the filter was on since then. Now it’s not pumping. What should I do?
Take a picture so that we can better understand the whole situation.
Switch off the filter. Check all connections to the tank. Dismantle the filter. Clean the impeller. It is best to lightly clean the filter media to ensure that there is a flow through. Replace the missing water in the tank. If everything looks good, reassemble the filter and put it back into operation. Tell us what happens.
Ok it’s back online I did open it I was worried that the impeller motor would have burned but it looked intact the problem was air lock so I used the most basic method used my mouth to create syphoning and after that all worked fine.
I was so worried I thought the filter motor might have burned but thank God everything is fine I don’t see any reduction in the flow
Sorry to hear you had an issue, not fun! You could put the filter in a plastic bucket so that if there's any slow leaks for example you can just check the bucket for water (plus it avoids it going in your cabinet/on your floor).
Thanks. I fixed the issue that day, the problem was with air pressure so I primed it using the very basic method my mouth to create pressure and I never had issue with it.
