Hi all. Just in the process of doing a nature style scape on this second hand 4ft I just picked up fully stocked. Its very heavily stocked and had no plants in so I'm in the process of getting stock levels down (Kribensis 🙄🤣), and have added a load of Red Root and Amazon frogbit plus chucked some Myriophyllum Mattogrossense a d some other stem cuttings in to help with the nitrate levels and save on the WC frequency short term. Unsure on all the plants yet, but will have some Val & a lotus hopefully, with fish to be Amazonian (currently pair of Silver Angels, Cardinal & Rummynose tetra as well as the Kribs)

At the minute I'm happy with the 3 large rocks, could do with a couple of smaller ones to balance here and there. But not happy with the wood at all! Don't know whether to counter the heavy left hand rocks by having higher wood on the right or to keep the high/heavy scape on the left.

All thoughts appreciated. And I know there's some BBA on the wood. Being treated with Gluteraldehyde) and keeping some other algae on the back glass for an otocinclus

I really like the right side wood so would not change it. I also love the three stone position you have. I agree the left side wood looks a little off. Perhaps it’s the gap between the wood and the glass. Or maybe it’s too upright.
I’m still new to this so you may get better opinions.

Thanks for your thoughts! I agree about the left. Tbh I had to take all the wood out to catch Kribs to re-home and rushed to get them back in and the left didn't sit properly so I just left it for now. I had it like this before and preferred it except the one piece cutting diagonally across the centre from the left

I'm sure I'll have about 20 variations as I catch more Kribs 🤣

Finally Krib-less, so I was able to get the tank finished and planted today. Pretty happy with it for now, turned the rock on the right 180° to make more swim room by having the vertical face at the back, but limited the planting pocket slightly.

Hit me with the criticism. Wish I could have put the lotus off centre but the rocks limited things slightly. Found out after finishing I didn't have enough height for the heater upright behind the lily pipes so put it horizontal behind the rock on the right 🙄.
