hi every one

I came across the website a while ago and thought I would finally get involved. I thought I would show my tank and see what reply I got back. I still learning all the time, reading what people are doing on here and the should and shouldn'ts. If any one has got some tips/suggestions/help or even criticism then let me know, every thing is welcome.

rite iv got a 300l tank from all pond solutions.
100 L 50 W 60 H....in hindsight its been a night mare with the tank been so tall with lighting.
iv got 5 t5 39w lights two are diy the other three are are built into the hood, but iv put reflector tape behind them.
Iv had the tank over 6 months know and iv found with allpondsolutions that you get what you pay for, don't get me wrong your getting a 300l tank for about £350 but that's all your paying for, every thing else is poor quality tbh. the cabinet isn't any thing good to look at and the drip filter in the hood is poor, but you are getting a large tank for dirt cheap so you cant complain, it just means iv learnt to save my money and you get what you buy for.
iv got an external filter that i got at a good price when i bought the tank, its their top spec external filter and so far hasn't let me down, but i am going to upgrade in the near future to to one that has a heater built in.
I'm running pressurized CO2 from the diy set up with a fire extinguisher.
Im using fertz from Home page, but im dosing at 150ml per day for micro and macro wit a rest on saturday and then a 40% water change every sunday.
the lights and co2 are running for 9 hours
ive recently just replanted the tank after having a remodel because of bad BBA out brake.

heres some images of the tank atm.

Welcome to ukaps Aaron
Tank looks good, perhaps move the heaters to a corner as they draw the eye. Also when you upgrade your filter you could try placing a full length spray bar along the back wall which will distribute c02 more effectively around the tank....maybe even utilise two filters for extra flow and distribution, this will help all your plants but especially the lower carpet type plants
Use the search function for water flow, I'm sure you'll find lots of useful information.
Cheerio,
Ady.

Cheers
I did have the spray bar there originally, I'll have a look at the forums 2day and probs change it as I'm doing a water change so no great hardship. Would I still leave the diffuser in the corner though or move that to a central point. At the moment it's 50/50 under the intake so the bubbles are in the water longer

Hello,
This is the Member introduction section and it function is the introduction of new members. If you're having issues with your tank it would be better to post in the appropriate section. Comment regarding the tank should not be posted in this section.
