Hi all,

I have recently set up a peristaltic pump to dose ferts with. I only have one pump but wish to add a daily dose of easy carbo and tropica specialised fertiliser. Would it be possible to make a solution with these to dose daily with the pump or would they react / bind before they reach the aquarium?
Making a dilution would give me more accurate control over fertiliser quantities but could this cause any issues?

Thanks!

Bump! Any takes on this question? I'm on the EI regime and would like to start auto-dosing and I'm wondering if I'll need 2 or 3 bottles.

It does make a difference with 2 versus 3 as it will build a DIY dosing system

Thanks!

This has been mentioned many times and I think the general opinion is that liquid carbon will react with the inorganic salts of the fertiliser, thus liquid carbon, fertiliser (and any micro's) must all be dosed separately via individual dosing pumps.

I'm sure i've seen a product with liquid carbon and ferts but i cant remember what it was called and it only had macro or micro in, again i cant remember which
I can remember it was posted on ukaps but not the name of the thread

You could add absorbic acid? to your ei and make an all in one feed then you can just use 2 pumps
