do you need to supliment metal halide lighting with any other lighting combination or is it ok as a one stop shop so to speek?. :?:

Will be fine, you dont need anything else.

Just use a bulb that is for freshwater.

I just use halides on mine with nothing else. Make sure your co2 etc is spot on or you'll have problem algae really quick

its fine to use on its own but with it being a point source of light it will only spread so far to the left and right. I think 90cm width tank is the max for my solar1 mh. If you had a 120cm you'd be looking at putting two over it or using T5's.
