This will be a bit retrospective journal, I set this tank up in September 2022.

Tank is 90cmx60cmx45cm (~243L) AquaEl brand.
Filter is Oase850 with stock media.
I have two Chihiro wrgb2 60 hanging above it.



I used Tropica substrate capped with a mix of Tropica soil and Tropica powder.
Majority of the plants were purchased from a Welsh company Plantek Lab, which I highly recommend; I also got some Tropica 1-2 grow.



That's 10 days later.



This one is exactly one month later.



This is today around 8 months since launch. I have 4 ottos, 3 big rasboras and around 30 little rasboras, maybe 40-50 amano shrimp, cherry shrimps, horde of snails and limpets...

An update - I removed some of the plants - I could not keep up with how fast they grew..

ARM seems to bee mid-ground plant...

The crypt in the middle grew unexpectedly - it emerged from the old roots that I left after hacking everything around 6 months ago...

I will try to simplify even more, at this point it's my lack of skill in trimming that is showing...

Why don't you try without CO2 injection? More fun, less trimming.

Looks like Cryptocoryne nurii is growing a flower; I have been playing around and dumped double amount of the ferts that I usually do... I got some minor BBA and this flower
