Looking for some mid ground Rhizome plants

I am looking for some midground Rhizome plants that I can use to fill the gaps behind the hardscape. I worked hard to make this aquascape look perfect and natural. But when you look at it on the top, those gaps behind the hardscape looks odd. Planting any more stem plant will disturbed the other plants. Specially the pearl weeds, that come out easily. So I though small rhizome plants of different size and look glued on lava rock and placing those rocks in between those gaps can solve the issue and make it look much better.

I already used Anubias Nana, Anubias Nana petit, at some places and I used Java fern too. I am looking for something that looks totally different.

What is the possibility for these grasses to spread horizontally and cover the whole area? I won't be able to get a CO2 kit until I get my next pay check. Until then I am using DYI CO2 kit which doesn't seem to be working.

If its Bucephelandra, yes I will have those plants once the tank is fully cycled and I get my CO2 kit. Bucephelandra isn't as hardy as Anubias, and it is expensive. So I won't take the risk of this plant end up getting melted. Its an amazing plant, and it doesn't need CO2. But with CO2 it will grow better and will have vibrant colors. But this isn't a mid ground plant. I will have Bucephelandra on some of the river rocks. I was looking for a mid ground plant that I can glue on lava rock and place it on the gaps to make the jungle look uneven and more natural.

Right now if you take a look at the second image in my original post. The whole setup behind the hardscape looks like I am cultivating something, lol. And I am not sure if those grasses that I used (Crypt Parva, Crypt Brown and Pearl weed) will grow vertically or spread horizontally. But one thing that I know is Crypt Parva is a slow growing plant and it can take an year to spread throughout the soil. This is the first time I used pearl weed (a big mistake) so I won't be surprised if it melts. It happened to Monte Carlo in my previous tank.

You could try HP below if you are going to get Co2 up and running!
