look good but its a no for me

I'm not buying anything from someone who says it keeps nutrients low to help with algae. Its no wonder these myths are still around when companies use them as part of their marketing.
Besides i've recently started dosing ei and have just increased the dose to 1.5x and plants seem much better for it so i want high levels of nutrients not low ones
Yeah unnessecary as far as i am concerned.
I imagine you would need a few of those in your big tank ed

Very interesting, at 6 Euros it may be worth trying it out on a low tech tank. I would agree it's just another gadget but I would rather shell out for something like this than a Twinstar which for the moment is about as easily explained as 'Crystal Therapy'.

🙂

Haha at lease 10 on each side[DOUBLEPOST=1405689638][/DOUBLEPOST]Yeah maybe on a low tech. But I still rather stick to the old way

Smart idea using water potential to fertilize a tank:geek:...but aside from the fertz becoming less and less concentrated as water potential approaches zero, and the rate of dosing decreasing accordingly...won't the rate of dosing also depend on the TDS of the tank water?😕
I suppose they are suggesting that the fertz used are so strong it doesn't matter too much...but I remain to be convinced...:shifty: In fact I suspect that perhaps it's fundamentally flawed😱

I love to put my hands in the tank, no matter when, what for... Sometimes for fertilizing, for cleaning some debris, to feed my fish. I think I would even dive in them if they were like Alastair's or BigTom's 🙂
Fertilizing is a kind of ritual early in the morning when I'm home, I really enjoy this first contact with the tanks. When I have to travel I just dose the amount for the days I'm out... So no need in my case.

It's a gadget and useless for the most part BUT when/if you're leaving for a week this is a great solution... forget their fertilizers, put the EI fertilizers in the unit...

I would love a dosing apparatus that could synchronize the dosing with the moon-phase, you know: highest dosis at full moon, low dosis at first quarter and so on. Maybe ADA could conjure a nice gizmo..........
