I have an excess of Amazon Frogbit and was thinking about keeping a stock on my (currently unused) hospital tank.

I filled the tank from my main tank during weekly water change but what do I need to do to keep the Frogbit healthy and growing?

Do I need to heat the water and would simply using old tank water provide enough nutrients?

Will daylight be sufficient (tank is open) or will plants need a dedicated light?

I store my "spares" in one litre ice cream tubs on the kitchen window sill (SE facing, so pretty sunny).

I top them up with the water change water ~ every day, and usually they don't need additional feeding.

cheers Darrel
