Jungle in a glass box

Love aluminium extrusion. I have a sim rig made out of it and the channels are dust collectors, which can be quite tedious.

I've used the metalstore.co.uk to make a unit like yours. Used the 25mm box section and clamps. Basically Meccano for adults.

I noticed that they seem very popular in sim setups! Very cool. After the stress of doing the measuring myself, the building part was enjoyable, as you said it’s like Lego/Meccano.

One of my lights arrived today, I plan to use two of these on the tank, newly released Week Aqua Z250 Pro. Tested it on another tank, looks ace and you get the lovely ripple effect, also has a channel in the heatsink on the top which you can run the cable through on either side, clever! 🙂

Loving that purple hue, mate!

This is probably the slowest journal ever 😄 ....but some of my wood has been cut, so I spent the weekend sanding/priming/painting this 18mm board of ply to go onto of the cabinet, it's had another coat of paint this that photo was taken, not that it needs to look great as it's just for the tank to sit on.
The anticipation always kills me, so I tend to set things up quickly. In hindsight, I always wish I had taken more time! Enjoy the process!

This is very true, I often enjoy the planning so I do need to appreciate it instead of worrying about how long it's taking me to make progress.

Finally marked out the cuts for the base shelf of the cabinet, my colleague kindly cut it for me...fingers crossed my measurements were correct, I will sand/prime/paint etc this weekend! 😀
