JBL E702 floppy lever

Just bought a brand new JBL e702 canister filter and I am wondering if anyone has experienced one of the lever are kind of floppy? As I understand these levers are suppose lock the piece were you connect the tubes. I called the store and asked if they could check on another e702filter if they were the same and yes indeed it was. Right now I stand between keeping the filter or just send it back and buy another one.

Are the lever suppose to be like that?

I don't have one so I might be wrong.

Have you tried it with the hose connection block in place? It only matters if it is loose when the hose connection block is in place and then it will leak.

You need the hose connection block in place, this open/closes the valves. It won't be lose once this is fitted, you also can use this to adjust the flow but only do it on the OUT.
