I shall clean it off with a tooth brush on my next water change as of yet I can see it not attaching to any plants or any other items in the aquarium. I quite like the look of it on the bog wood as it’s given it an aged look and natural look but will be keeping an eye on it thought out the next couple of days just incase of any changes 🙃

I would add a half-dozen panda garras to your tank and that will disappear. Fun little fish, they tickle you when you put your hands into the tank as they go up and down your arms.

Hi Thankyou for the recommendation on fish and yes running co2 on the aquarium at the time of the photo being taken it was off I run my co2 at 4am-9pm also light goes on at 8am and goes off at 10pm got home from work around 11ish and decided to turn the tank on but only have the light on a low light as I have a dimmer that runs a twinstar 900s the light is set for sun rise to night time untill 10pm and the co2 checker is always lime green

goes on at 8am and goes off at 10pm

This is a REALLY long photo period and may start to cause you algae problems if you stick with it.

Not sure if anyone else has any experience of running lights this long, and not getting algae issues?

I personally start to see the signs at around 8 hour photo periods, so knowing this is making me doubt my original response of ‘don’t worry about it’ and lean more towards that the algae on the hardscape may be a sign of things to come with the plants.

I have the light on a dimmer so at
8am 0%
9am 25%
10am 50%
12pm 90%
2pm 50%
4pm 30%
6pm 15%
10pm 0%
