Is he/she ok

I have never come across a colour variant otocinclus but "golden" chinese sucking loaches are common and this is what I would be more concerned about than the colour. The other fish in your picture looks decidedly like a Chinese loach and they grow to be very aggressive brutes. I would definitely check to see if this is what you actually have but as regards to the colour these are xanthic which means golden/yellow and the eye colours can vary because of this changed pigment, similarly they may habe black patches elsewhere.

As far as I can tell, they are Otocinclus vestitus Paraguay. If this is the case, the eye colour is normal. However, the two fish make a somewhat malnourished impression.
When did you buy them? How long has the tank been running?

That’s what I’d say they are too, one appears to be in very poor condition.

Bought them about 4 weeks ago, the one with normal looking eyes seems quite happy so not too worried about it, not sure what to do with other one though

Hi all,
Bought them about 4 weeks ago, the one with normal looking eyes seems quite happy so not too worried about it,
That one is definitely a Loach.
one appears to be in very poor condition.
Unfortunately that looks like "knocking on death's door" to me as well.

cheers Darrel

If they are Otocinclus they may be very rare.
What do the fish eat? What do you feed them? And again the question: How long has the tank been running?

I know this is unethical and I will be scorned etc but the more I read from you guys the more I think I am going to dispose of them as humanely as I can 😔
