Found this lovely plant floating that looks aquatic along a welsh stream.
Would like to ask for an id if possible and whether it’s suitable for cultivation in the aquarium.

If not possible, I’ll probably just chuck it in the tank for fun. See how it does, I know it’ll grow with its roots in the water floating across the surface so a nice candidate for Cover!

Under the counter sales plantnoobdude ?

Thank you for the reply, however my plant has opposite growing leaves and small “hairs” out of the leaves. I doubt it is hydrocotyle ranunculoides.

I think it is "Opposite Leaved Golden Saxifrage" (Chrysosplenium oppositifolium), so not really an aquatic plant, but one that grows in wet places. In the S. of England it is largely a woodland plant, but in the N. and W. of the UK it grows out in the open.

This was one from Cumbria, early in the year <"Opposite-leaved Golden-Saxifrage (Chrysosplenium oppositifolium)">.
