Identification required

Morning All,

Would somebody be able to identify this algae for me please. Treatment options would be a bonus…
Grows only on stones and in feels spongy and soft. I’m removing it with wire brush but keeps coming back ☹️

Would somebody be able to identify this algae for me please.

It is definitely a <"Red Algae"> (Rhodophyta). After that <"we are struggling a bit">, because it doesn't look exactly like <"Black Brush Algae">, although it maybe one of the different life stages.

In terms of removal, Ramshorn Snails will graze off the sporelings, but not much <"eats the mature tufts">.
