Identification please

Hello,

I saw these shrimp in my LFS being sold as Amanos, they don't look like it to me, but are very attractive so I bought some anyway. Does anyone know what they are?

Some Macrobrachium species is my best guess. Note that they are snippety bois and will try to eat whatever they can catch 😉

Agree with @Hufsa,Macrobrachium often come as bycatch with Amanos and they can get relatively large and aggressive with it.
Small fish will be at risk so depending on your tank stocking I would consider returning them to the shop.

Hi all,

Same for me, it is the long pincers that are the main ID feature. If they are Macrobrachium they will <"grow fairly quickly">.
