Hi all,
So when I started the new tank a little while back I moved over my hygrophila polysperma (back right on the pic)
I was never planning on keeping it long term but it was helpful with the initial start up.
I want to replace it with Another stem plant but really not sure what to go for.
Needs to be fairly undemanding but able to fill out that space easily.

Would love some suggestions for what to add but also any other suggestions in general would be welcomed👍🏼👍🏼20230422_151029.jpg

I'd go with a "rosette", rather than a stem, it just means you have a lot less maintenance. I see you have a number of Cryptocoryne spp., so how about another one?

Thanks @dw1305 I had a few other crypts and echinodorus in the previous tank and as much as I liked them I really wanted to go stem heavy on this tank. I like that the stems are a lot more delicate looking and I really don't mind the maintenance of them

Point taken. I'm just incredibly lazy, and my tanks have now nearly all reached a state of just having a floating plant, "moss" and ferns. Even now I'm looking at Bolbitis heudelotii and "Susswassertang" (Lomariopsis lineata) and thinking that I could replace them with a slower growing alternative.

I should says that realistically all my mosses and ferns are really "floating plants" as none of them are now anchored to anything.

cheers Darrel

I'm sure I'll get like that one day after keeping plants for years Darrel 🤣
