long story short, came downstairs to find a trashed house (4 y/o) paint, play dough, dishwasher tabs, laundry powders anything and everything

then found the tank lid up with a whole think of fish food, whole pack of plec buscuits a full bottle of tapsafe and a 100ml bottle of bromo blue tipped in, then stirred up with a big glass cleaning brush which pulled up plants and knocked bogwood everywhere :bored:

so have done 90% change and vac the hell out of it, but the bromo blue is still tinting the water, any ideas on how to break it down other than water changes or how long it lasts.

regards

ill try get some tomorrow and give it a go, but hey at least for now i know theres enough co2 in the water :wideyed:

you're lucky. When mine was 3 he nipped downstairs before the wife woke up and tried to emulate daddy dosing the tank........with washing up liquid!!!.. Came home to a very frothy tank with of course no inhabitants alive :(
