Did this a few months ago and wanted to see results before mentioning it.
I had used fertilisers balls a long time ago and they worked great. However they were really expensive. I also tried grow more tabs. They worked too, but the little balls would migrate and end up on top of the substrate owing to Cory's digging and moving of plants.
Then last year I found a recipe for seaweed balls. Once I got everything together they were simple to make, if a little messy. They were rolled into 1cm balls and left to dry out, they hardend up nicely which makes them easy to put in place.
