@suzanne Its really a downer looking for dead fish in well planted tank ,what I do is l clean above substrate for several days removing water changing 20% every day for at least a week till the weekly 50% and add a small internal filter temporary full of filter wool and carbon for a week or so.I think all the right things with your fish bit of a mystery.? Neal Monks one of the experts at PFK as a theory that certain fish( ie in your case another source of Endlers) of the same species are more aggresive than others

i know its strange my dad has same tank and exact same fish but his are chilled and bored looking and mine are like theyve been on the caffeine, i think i know which ones are the ring leaders though and they seem to wind up the others🙂
