I would remove the Crypt from the glass jar and use a small pond basket with a filter bag to hold the substrate media!
Mix the Ecco complete with sand or gravel or both!
One root tablet per plant will be sufficient....😉

Thank you for the reply! I'm looking for a small pond basket that will fit in my sump to plant the crypt. In the mean time, I am mixing sand with eco complete for their new substrate, and adding root tabs as well for them. I also am increasing the amount of floaters as well!

It's been about a month and a half since adding API root tabs and the Crypt is growing great! I wonder how often I should be adding root tabs though?
