Hello guys,

Just wondering if it is possible or if anyone has downsized the size of there filter tubing? I am currently using the Fluval 306 with 17mm Lily pipes and the flow sucks in my 50L Scapers tank.

I think I may get better flow with one of the 13mm Jet lily pipes by Gush, if anyone has used one of these id love to know about your experience? (They dont seem to make a 17mm version)

I am going to be buying a new external heater and lily pipes shortly and don't want to have to re-buy later on if this could fix the problem.

Thanks, Luke.

Very bad idea.

If your flow is bad then remove some of the filter media, especially the ceramic noodles if any. This will enhance flow and have negligible effect on filtration.

Cheers,

worked for me, now I've down sized the tank I've filled it again.😀 add a hydor they work a treat and you can move them, angle up down to the side, also keep your surface clean if you get problems like that.
