Hi,

I’ve got a bunch of Amazon swords in my tank for a while, brought them as a weighted bunch of stems.

ive noticed now they have little root like clutch’s on them, which then have shorted out a small green shoot?

before the green shoot I thought it was a algae but now I’m not sure?

please see picture below

thanks
Andy

Hi all,
I’ve got a bunch of Amazon swords in my tank....bought them as a weighted bunch of stems
They were wrongly labelled, they were actually <"Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus)">.
ive noticed now they have little root like clutch’s on them, which then have shorted out a small green shoot?
They form new "plantlets" on older leaves, just let them grow and when <"they are obvious plants move them to bits of wood etc">, I staple on a postage stamp sized piece of old leaf and then as the new plant grows it may attach itself.

cheers Darrel

Thank you for the reply,

ah that makes sense why I couldn’t see anything like this when I searched Amazon swords!

I’ll leave them a good while longer then, Atleast there doing well!
Thank you!
Andy
