Hey guys I'm getting the funds together to build my own aquarium. I'm just wondering how thick the glass will have to be? It will be a rimless with no bracing.
Dimensions will be 900x600x450h
Will 10mm toughened be fine?
Any help would be great! Thanks 🙂

Hi everyone,
When designing a rimless aquarium with dimensions like 900x600x450 mm,
10mm toughened glass is often the go-to choice due to its strength and durability. Toughened glass is heat-treated, making it far stronger than standard glass, which is essential for rimless designs that lack additional support.
While 10mm is generally suitable, consider factors like the intended water level, tank contents, and room temperature, as these can affect the load on the glass. For those interested in learning more about glass types and applications for different projects, you might find some helpful insights in this blog:

Hope this helps!
