Foam prefilter

I'd looked at doing one of those Hamburg Matten Filters but couldn't find the right size of foam in black. Looking on fleabay I found these to put over my eheims intake. They are mahooosive!
This should give the shrimp a nice grazing area....

What filter are they going over lindy. They may soon block up on an external filter as its a very very fine sponge. Tried something similar once

eheim ecco 130. I was going to drill holes all over the intake so there was no one point pulling water. Its for the shrimp tank..

I've abandoned the ones I made out of PPI30 sponge, they needed cleaning every couple of days.

Those in PPI10 foam would be awesome. I've got a similar one that I bought but have never used, because it is bright blue.

Can I ask where it came from?

Look at pond firms or gardencenters selling pondsupplies, i get some foam there too.
The filterfoam you have works great with airpowered filters, less flow to clog them.

Got from ebay seller goaqua88. 150gal replacement foam filter. Don't know what size foam but does look very fine.
