Fine mesh - Like purigen bags

Hi all,

I wondered if anyone had come across very fine sheets of mesh, like the same sort of stuff purigen bags are made from.

I'm wanting to make a perspex box which I can sit in my sump to get a better flow over the purigen, instead of it just being compacted in the bag and "thrown" in. Ive seen some 2mm mesh on eBay, but that's way too big. Any help appreciated.

Edit: I've found stainless steel, not sure how I'd glue it to the perspex though

Hi NC10,
Try a search for "plastic embroidery canvas", or pop along to your nearest craft type shop and have a look, it's what folks use for caterpillar cages etc.

I've used plastic canvas before for an algae scrubber and the one I used would definitely be too big. I'll nip in Hobbycraft over the weekend, see how fine they go. Thanks.

Hi NC10, With the stainless steel Mesh This glue will stick it to the perspex.
