Fert advice

Hi all,
At this dose 12.5mls in a 125L tank will raise the Fe by 1ppm, so a fairly large dose.
I don't want to post new thread.
I am trying to figure it out dosages about TNC IronAT (DTPA).
On label says:
1ml/10 litres - 1.0 Fe (ppm)

So if i analogically dose 1ml/ 100l - 0.1 Fe (ppm) ??? I am not sure if I am correct in proportions...

So then on my 125l tank then 1ml/ 125l would give me 0.075 Fe (ppm) ??😵

I have been trying to look on both calculators for TNC IronAT calculations of dosages but i couldn't find anywhere.

Thank you,

Kind Regards

Peter

Hi all,
Correct.

Almost. It is 10/125 = 0.08 ppm.
Thank you very much for you help.
I am trying to figure it out how to connect all ferts from TNC in what safe dosages to dose.
I actually dosed 7ml TNC Lite which gave me 0.045 Fe mg/l.

Now i am trying to figure it out how much to add Fe from TNC IronAT and Fe EDDHA.

And for the moment TNC Complete i think i will leave it as my tap water has plenty NO3 and PO4.

Thank you

Kind Regards

Peter

That's confusing, if 1ml/100L is 0.1FE, then why is 1ml/125L not 0.075?
If the division is 10/125, then shouldn't it be 10/100 as well?

Hi all,
That's confusing, if 1ml/100L is 0.1FE, then why is 1ml/125L not 0.075?
If the division is 10/125, then shouldn't it be 10/100 as well?
So on TNC IronAT label it says:

1ml/10litres will add - 1.0 Fe (ppm)

So then analogically:

1ml/100litres i expect will add 0.1 Fe (ppm)

or

1ml/100litres should i expect that add 0.01 Fe (ppm)

I am trying to figure it out if i dose 1ml on my 125l Tank then what ppm Fe would be raised ???

Hi all,
I may be missing something here, but 10/100 = 0.1ppm, as expected. Where did 0.075 come from?
So I calculated in that way:

So on TNC IronAT label it says:

1ml/10litres - will add - 1.0 Fe (ppm)

So if I am right :

1ml/100 litres - suppose to give me 0.1 Fe (ppm)

1ml/125 litres - suppose to give me 0.075 Fe (ppm) ------> 1ml/25litres is like 0.025 (ppm)

So then if
1ml/100 litres = 0.1 Fe (ppm) then

100 litres + 25 litres = 125 litres then

0.1 - 0.025 = 0.075 Fe (ppm) why minus. Because as i assuming 1ml/125litres suppose to give that value of Fe = 0.075ppm

I am not sure if I am calculating this actually right for TNC IronAT (DTPA).

So then after my dosage of TNC lite which was 7ml TNC Lite and it gave me 0.045 Fe mg/l.

Then 1ml TNC Iron AT(DTPA) (if i am carrect) = 0.075ppm of Fe

TNC Lite = 0.045
+
TNC Iron At(DTPA) = 0.075
=
0.12ppm of Fe

If i cut half from TNC Iron AT(DTPA) I could does 0.5ml/125litres = 0.0375ppm of Fe

So then additionally I could dose my solution of Fe EDDHA...

I am just thinking about that TNC Iron AT(DTPA) if i am calculating my dosages properly, so then I could mix dosage partly from TNC Lite, TNC Iron AT(DTPA) and Fe EDDHA.

I know it is a bit confusing even i am not sure if i am correct.

Thank you ,

Kind Regards ,

Peter

To get 1ppm of Fe in 10L, you need 10mg of Fe (remember that 1ppm in water means 1mg/L, so you need 10mg to get that concentration in 10L). So that is what 1ml of fert is adding. Each 1ml of your fert contains 10mg of Fe.

If you add 1ml, which has 10mg of Fe, to 125L of water, you'll have 10mg/125L, or 10/125 mg/L or 0.08 mg/L. Again, in water 1mg/L = 1ppm, so 0.08 mg/L = 0.08ppm

TNC IronAT (DTPA) is ready solution bought by me on amazon.co.uk 500ml bottle. I didn't really know how much mg of Fe is in this solution.
Like I say on the bottle is label and it says:

1ml/10litres will add - 1.0 Fe (ppm)

I think i was lost because I didn't know about this what you mentioned:
To get 1ppm of Fe in 10L, you need 10mg of Fe

Thanks to this clarification, I better understand how i can calculate it. I think I have been lost with proportions.

So then analogically 2ml/10 litres will add - 2.0 Fe mg/l(ppm)

So for example for better understanding:

If I dosed 2ml/125l -------> 20g/125litres = 0.16 Fe mg/l(ppm)

Thank you so much for your help

Kind Regards,

Peter
