Eheim classic 250 making tons of noise

There are a couple of different types of noises some filters make. I managed to reduce the noise of my Classic 250 by filling the void in the head with RTV rubber. The space acts like a sound box. Another trick is to stick some rubber sheet to the underside of the head cover.

If I find some time i’ll try this for sure. Thanks!

Hey! Thank you for your reply!
I hope it gets better for you somehow so you can drop the music at some point. Maybe you can find an Eheim 4+ 250 from a sale or second hand to test now that the 5 is our already? Might be good to try if there's a cheap enough oportunity to be worth of testing. Have a happy Christmas!
