Echinodorus bleheri - stunted growth

Plants may or may not take nutrients through their roots/leaves so having nutrients available to both is a belt and braces solution as the plant can choose which it prefers. This is why most members use amazonia etc as their substrate
 
How are the plants surrounding the echinodorus doing? In a high tech you should see impovement in less than a week, possibly days once you sort out the cause.

Apologies for not replying sooner.

Approximately 15cm away from the E. bleheri is a Bacopa Compacta and it's growing very well. As this thread is specifically about a Sword, it got me thinking and I really want to understand more about plants and their nutrients. So, I started a more general thread a few days ago here:

I read George Farmer's review of substrates and, as a result, I opted for Tetra EcoComplete. That is my base layer topped with JBL Manado.
