Hi guys just a quick question,

Am i reading 'James planted tank' right or not?

On the dosing calculator page, just under the calculator it says:

What ppm Values Do I Need

What amount of nutrient you wish to add depends on your dosing schedule but if dosing Estimative Index then here is a general guide:
8ppm of Nitrate which is added 3x a week
2ppm of Phosphate which is added 3x a week

Does this mean 24ppm/week Nitrate
and 6ppm/week phosphate

Or:
2.6ppm/dose Nitrate 3 times a week
and 0.6 ppm/dose Phosphate 3 times a week

Bit confused......

Hi,

you'll need a total of 24 ppm of nitrate per week. For some reason, this amount is divided by 3 so you dose 8 ppm 3 times a week. I suppose people like to have their hands wet everyday ;)

Same for PO4

cheers,

GM

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, it just wasn't reading right to me.

Thanks.
