Dimension help - Eheim Thermocontrol heater

I need to know the diameter of the 'neck' of the Eheim Thermocontrol heater.

Would someone be kind enough to give me an accurate measurement? Pic below:

Come to think of it: Eheim's site says the glass tube diameter is 36mm - that's nearly 1/12". Is that right? Should be more like 1 inch.

I can give you a measurement for the plastic neck when I get home from school. As far as I am aware the glass tube part is 1 inch diameter.

Appreciate it. I can't see the tube itself being the quoted 36mm. Perhaps that's the neck size?

Work it out easy. Use bit of string or dental floss etc. Cut it so it just goes round the circumference of the tube. Measure the length of sting/floss.
Then use
circumference Calculator just stick in the circumference you get and presso

I don't have it yet - and I'm after the diameter.

I measured the circumference as 10.25cm meaning that the diameter is approximately 3.26 cm. This was my 50w heater but I'd assume all thermocontrols are the same. Hope this helps

Received a 75w version today. Diameter (measured with digital calipers) are:

Tube: 25mm / 1"
Neck: 30mm / 1.25"

Just shows that you can't trust manufacturers specs!
