Dialling in the CO2 injection Rate and CO2 Profiles

Can I ask what about tanks that have 0kh ? Do they require more than a 1ph drop? .. I use ro water only and tropica soil substrate so my kh is 0
I reminilise to a gh of 5 I don't add kh as the substrate would just eat it up..

So if my degas in a cup is 6.7ph after 24hrs.
What sort of pH drop should I aim for ?

Thanks

Do they require more than a 1ph drop to reach 30ppm co2? Yes more than likely.

5.7 would be the initial aim, but as always this should be done in conjunction with a drop checker. You might get a lovely lime green colour bang on a 1 point drop, or it might need less/more. I needed 1.1 to get it to go lime green with ~ 1kh water.

Rule number one: Do it slowly and watch the fish.
Rule number two: Do it slowly and watch the fish.
Rule number three: Not all DC read the same colours, so do it slowly and watch the fish 😀

I am still weighing up running CO2 24/7, over having the fluctuating ph.
My fully de-gassed PH is 7.9
I just look at this swing and wonder if I'm better without.
I'm not concerned with how much gas I'm using and replacing.
Costs me buttons.
