Curling of leaves in Hygrophila polysperma (also known as Indian waterweed or dwarf hygro) can be sign of various health issues. Here are some common causes and solutions:

Inadequate Lighting: Insufficient lighting can cause the plant to curl its leaves upwards to reach towards the light source. Ensure your aquarium or tank has appropriate lighting.

Nutrient Deficiency: Curling leaves can also be a sign of nutrient deficiency, particularly a lack of nitrogen or potassium. Ensure you're providing a balanced fertilizer suitable for aquarium plants.

CO2 Imbalance: Hygrophila polysperma generally benefits from supplemental CO2 injection in the aquarium. If CO2 levels are insufficient, the plant may facing curling leaves.

Water Parameters: Ensure that water parameters such as pH, temperature, and hardness are within the suitable range for Hygrophila polysperma.

Pests and Diseases: Check for any signs of pests like snails or diseases such as fungal infections.

Water Flow: Inadequate water flow can lead to motionless areas around the plant, affecting nutrient uptake and CO2 distribution.

Monitor the plant closely to prevent from further damage.
