I have hard water at home and i am uable to keep them for that reason. So i was wondering if any has used aquasoil to make there hard water soft for the crystal red shrimp.

I use aquasoil with my CRS and have to admit always have done, you could always add some wood as this can quite often help soften the water.

I've successfully kept a colony of CRS in London tap water with gravel as a substrate. So, soft water is not a prerequisite. I guess it depends on how robust the particular group of CRS you have\get are.
