Concerns about non-flat surface and rimmed tank (River Reef 94)

If the aquarium has a floating glass bottom then it should level its self out. Mine did. The Roma by Fluval has float glass and it warns you not to put anything under the float glass like a mat. It makes this quite clear in bold letters. I would read what the instructions say.
 
Decided to swap it out for something a little more appropriate for the room, and with the somewhat-flexible plastic stand, it should soak up the 0.3 - 0.4mm deflection on the worktop..
