co2 pressure gauge broken

hello i have an d-d pressure gauge/regulator with 2 needle gauge one of them has the plastic screen is missing off one will it be ok without it on

I've had several screens come off my regs over the years, but it never seemed to affect the way it worked. One of the needles also stopped working and that didnt seem to matter either.
