Cloverleaf BlanketAnswer to treat planted tank filamentous algae?

I have a pond that last year I treated with BlanketAnswer and the results were outstanding. Within 5 days the algae was 90% gone and the rest shifted after another week or so and never returned.

I've triggered filamentous hair algae in my Co2-injected planted tank by trimming the whole tank too aggressively and then going on holiday so ferts were lacking (I dialed down lighting by 10% too). In essence, I know the root cause of the outbreak was my doing. A few large water changes have brought it down slightly but I'm considering using Blanket Answer to see if that will help. I know it's developed for ponds and if I adjust the dose to suit, should this work on filamentous hair algae assuming blanketweed is similar? Has anyone else ever done a treatment like this on a planted tank setup with good results?

As a failsafe, my 1500Lph pump arrived today which is the last component of my DIY water change kit which should make 70% water changes in my 150L tank take minutes. I'm done with carrying buckets!

Thanks

Well I did it.

Let's see what the next few days bring!

No dice I'm afraid. All livestock were obviously fine but the algae remained. I have since had amazing results with Algexit in regards to my prolific hair algae problem.
£10 for a 500ml carton and I dosed 15ml per week for 3 weeks and it's nearly all gone.

I use Resolve in my pond and have wondered if it would work at tropical aquarium temps.
