Chihiros auto doser change of tube size.

I have recently got a Chihiros auto doser and would like to change the tubes the lead from the doser to the tank.
The size supplied with the kit is 2mm/4mm but the tubes I am currently running are the standard 4mm/6mm.
Has anyone changed the return tubes on these auto dosers, and does it work?
I can’t see any reason it won’t, perhaps there is something I am not taking into account.

I've literally had those new bottles and tubes delivered today too, and slightly vexed at the small, atypical tube diameter, which I'd not spotted. I will try 2-3cm lengths of the thinner tube attached to the Chihiros connection points and their ends manhandled into the normal diameter tube, which will fit if the larger tube is first warmed in hot water

This is the solution I came up with, essentially I left about 15mm or so of the smaller pipe and inserted it into the larger silicone tube.

I suppose that didn't affect the accuracy of the pump?
