It might be an <"encrusting Red Algae (Rhodophyta)"> like a <"Hildenbrandia sp.">

I certainly have an interest in Cyano but Cyano afficionado is not a term that I'd use to describe myself!

it looks like BBA that has been treated with gluteraldehyde, since then it usually turns red, but also could be an other algae that is already red coloured.
